The Mountain Gorilla

You may shiver at the thought of meeting a fierce-looking, wild gorilla. A full-grown mountain gorilla may be nearly two meters tall and weigh as much as three men. It could easily crush you. But gorillas are usually gentle and quite harmless. Several scientists, both men and women, have lived close to groups of wild gorillas, and made friends with them. These big, shaggy creatures live in forests in africa. The largest kind of ape and may weigh over 200 kilos.(from: Childcraft vol4)
