On a muddy sea bottom, among piles of rock and clumps of feathery seaweed, a small animal creeps slowly
along. From head to tail it is about twenty centimeters long. It looks a little like a thick, flat worm. But it has a thin shell, feelers and many legs. Its legs have joints, like those of an insect. The edges of its shell form long points that curve down and drag in the mud. When the creature moves it leaves a winding track in the mud. This little, many-legged animal is a trilobite.(from chilcraft vol4)
