THE ORANG-UTAN
In the warm, wet forest on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra in South-east Asia live some long-armed,red-furred apes. Long ago the people who lived on the island believed that the apes were just a different kind of man who wanted to live in the woods. That's why the people named tham orang-utan, which means 'man of
the woods'. They are in great danger of extinction.(childcraftvol4)
